One Day Alice came
to a fork in the road
and saw a Cheshire
cat in a tree. "Which
road do I take?"
she asked. "Where
do you want to go?"
was his response.
"I don't know" Alice
answered. "Then,"
said the cat, "it
doesn't matter."

where you are
going, any road
will get you there."

they know where
they are going."

Our Process -
-
Our strategy is to begin by taking
the time to get to know you and your organization. We then partner with
you (as an individual and as an organization) to help you determine what
are the "improved results" that you want and need to achieve.
-
The next step is to find out "what you know" and
"what you
don't know" about your most important asset: the people in your organization.
If you deem it to be appropriate to begin with an analysis of the
strengths and challenges of your people and your organization, we
provide you with the right tools to help you do that.

-
We then provide you with an in-depth
analysis of the data from these assessments and assist you in first
identifying "what's working" and "what doesn't work as
well as it should." We can
help you to determine where to enhance the effectiveness of something that
is already going well. If there are any organizational disconnects,
then we help you to discover the opportunities to achieve "value added" or
"return on investment" from any professional leadership development
programs and/or organizational learning
activities.
-
The results of these assessment
processes will help you to determine your personal and organizational "wants and needs."
This is a critical step in the process, as it leads to the establishment
of some key objectives for successfully
achieving the improved results that you desire.
-
We then help you
to establish some "SMART" goals at both the individual and the organizational
levels to enable you and your people to achieve those key objectives that
will ultimately lead to improved results.
-
We then help your people to "ALIGN" their
individual goals (balancing personal and professional) with their
organizational goals - both short term and long range. We also
focus on helping your people to ensure that their individual goals (and
behaviors) are aligned with and in support of your organization's key
objectives.
-
We then help you and your people learn to embrace change
and to develop a more positive attitude about your personal and professional lives.
A positive attitude is essential to this perspective about individual
leadership in goal achievement as an enhancer of individual and
organizational success.
-
We also help you and your people to
acquire the skills and knowledge needed to enable you to grow both
personally and professionally. This involves a combination of
three forms of individual and organizational learning: teaching or
training, facilitated learning, and individual coaching.
-
Following the completion of the
structured learning phase, we then implement a series of follow up
sessions to provide accountability coaching to assist you and your
people in
achieving your individual and organizational goals.
-
This comprehensive development
process helps you and your people to become
successful leaders in setting and then consistently achieving their
individual and organizational goals,
which in turn enables your organization to achieve the significantly improved results
that you desire.
-
We then conduct another
organizational assessment process. This helps you and your people
to measure and quantify the actual results of the professional
leadership development programs and/or organizational learning
activities that have been implemented. It helps to show the return on
your investment in the development of the most valuable asset in your
organization: your people.
-
Finally, we recommend the scheduling of an organization
wide event in which you then share this information with people
throughout your organization. Doing so can help to build a "shared
sense of meaning" about the value of this perspective about individual
leadership in goal achievement as an enhancer of individual and
organizational success.
To succeed, we must first
believe that we can.
