One Day Alice came
to a fork in the road
and saw a Cheshire
cat in a tree. "Which
road do I take?"
she asked. "Where
do you want to go?"
was his response.
"I don't know" Alice
answered. "Then,"
said the cat, "it
doesn't matter."
"If you don't know
where you are
going, any road
will get you there."

they know where
they are going."

Examples of Our Customer's Successes -
-
Strategic
Planning - In 2000, we worked with
a variety of non-profit organizations in the area of strategic planning.
Of particular note was our work with the governing
board of the New Orleans chapter of an international non-profit service
organization to facilitate the development of a comprehensive five-year
strategic plan for that chapter. This included the development of the
operational plans to
support all the logistics of hosting an international convention.
-
Results: The convention hosted over 28,000 attendees, making it
the largest in the organization's history. The chapter was commended by
the President of the international organization for "being instrumental in making the convention
a resounding success."
-
Marketing & Sales - In 2001, we developed a web presence and a marketing/recruiting
campaign for a consortium of college enrollment teams. Through strategic
planning and collaborative goal setting for goal achievement, the members learned to
work together to enhance their collective ability to recruit students.
-
Business Planning and Marketing - In 2002, we worked with the CEO of a nationally acclaimed
kitchen and bath design consulting firm in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
We first conducted an abbreviated strategic planning process, and then we
developed a web presence and an internet marketing campaign for this firm.
-
Leadership Development - In 2003, we partnered with a
close associate to create and then
implement a faculty development program for a two-year technology college
in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The success of that program enabled
that college to offer distance education programs and to deliver "facilitated learning"
programs via the internet to working adults.
-
Leadership Development, Strategic
Planning and Goal Achievement Strategies - In 2004, we worked with the Board
of Trustees and the Executive Leadership Team of a not-for profit
institution to revamp their marketing and recruiting strategies in support
of an aggressive plan for enrollment (and revenue) growth. They also
developed a strategic plan (with SMART Goals) and an operational budget for
the college that would result in revenues that exceeded costs at the end of
FY2006.
-
Team Leadership Development and Goal
Achievement Coaching - In September of 2004, Ann Smith began working exclusively with a
small private college to provide coaching and leadership development
training to the team leaders of
their self-study committee. She helped them to develop a strategic plan
and to establish a series of critical goals for successfully attaining the reaffirmation of their accreditation from the
Middle States Commission of Higher Education. Ann maintained a high
level of engagement in the coaching process until the self-study report had
been completed and the visiting team had conducted its formal visit.
-
Strategic Planning and Goal
Achievement Strategies - In 2006, we worked with a private
college foundation to develop a strategic plan, critical objectives, and
"smart" goals for its first scholarship fundraising campaign. The ultimate goal
was to raise over $300,000 dollars for student scholarships.
-
Results: Those efforts
actually raised
over $1,200,000 dollars for student scholarships that year. The Chairman of
the Board proclaimed it to be "The most successful fundraising effort in the
53 year history of the foundation!"

achieving your goals is not as important as
what you become by achieving your goals.
